Genzon Golf Club in Longgang, now presented by golf directories as Hidden Grace Golf Club, is a 36-hole private facility comprising separate A and B courses designed during a major redevelopment by Neil Haworth of Nelson & Haworth. The property had previously operated as CITIC Longgang Golf Club; the redevelopment produced two contrasting par-72 layouts. Nelson & Haworth lists the A Course at 7,145 yards and describes it as routing around a large central lake while retaining mature existing trees.
The B Course uses more mountainous, strongly contoured ground and is reported elsewhere at 7,218 yards. The architect dates the opening of the rebuilt complex to 2009/2010. The A Course developed a significant tournament record, hosting the 2014 Volvo China Open and the Shenzhen International from 2015.
The course is a 36-hole parkland golf course. The course was designed by Neil Haworth. It is a private members-only club. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Golf Academy, Hotel.
The property predates the present Genzon layouts. It originally operated as CITIC Longgang Golf Club, with sources dating the earlier 18-hole course to 1995. Genzon Group acquired the facility in 2005 and undertook a large redevelopment.
The redevelopment deliberately created two contrasting courses. Nelson & Haworth describes the A Course as being organised around a large central lake, using the water setting and retaining as many mature trees as possible. The B Course was routed over more mountainous and challenging terrain.
The former 18-hole property was transformed into two 18-hole courses. Nelson & Haworth records the rebuilt facility as opening in 2009/2010. The A Course measures 7,145 yards according to the architect, while published club descriptions give the B Course as 7,218 yards.
The club has subsequently also been known as Hidden Grace Golf Club.
Tournament use concentrated on the A Course. It hosted the Volvo China Open in 2014 and became the venue for the Shenzhen International beginning in 2015. Later Volvo China Open editions also returned to the club.
The property operates as a private 36-hole club, with members and invited guests forming the core access model. Hotel guests may have limited playing opportunities subject to club arrangements.
