The Pete Dye Course at Mission Hills Shenzhen is an 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring 6,828 yards. Mission Hills presents it as the first Pete Dye design in China and highlights familiar Dye-associated visual elements: small pot bunkers, long waste areas extending from tee to green, railroad ties, tall native grasses and strongly undulating greens. The resort lists 178 bunkers and an average fairway width of about 35 yards.
Architectural attribution requires some nuance. Mission Hills credits Pete Dye as course designer, while the Pete Dye Society catalogue identifies Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, and specialist architecture sources describe Schmidt-Curley as responsible for the routing and design work with Dye's influence and approval. The course opened in 2007 and was the last of the original twelve Mission Hills Shenzhen/Dongguan courses to open.

The course was developed as a deliberately different visual and strategic offering within the enormous Mission Hills collection. It opened in 2007.
The design uses visual and construction devices closely associated with Pete Dye: railroad ties, pot bunkers, extensive waste areas and strong green contouring. At 6,828 yards it is relatively compact compared with several neighbouring Mission Hills layouts, placing more emphasis on positioning and shot creation.
The course remains part of the Shenzhen operation and is listed by Mission Hills at 6,828 yards and par 72.
