About Gillette Ridge Golf Club

Gillette Ridge Golf Club is a public Arnold Palmer-designed course in Bloomfield, Connecticut, built on land formerly owned by Cigna Insurance as part of a mixed-use development announced in 1999. The course opened to the public on July 30, 2004, and remains the only public Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Northeast — a genuine "Arnold Palmer Signature Course," per the club's own scorecard.

The routing plays to a par of 72 across five tees, from a forward Green tee at 4,847 yards up to a demanding 7,191 yards from the Black tips (course rating 74.5, slope 140). The land's streams, lakes, elevation changes and mature trees give the layout its character, with tree-lined fairways, sizeable carries and a reputation for difficulty that has made it a repeat pick for Connecticut's best public course — it was rated the state's #1 public course in 2018 and #4 in Golfers' Choice 2026 rankings. The course also hosted PGA Tour and LPGA qualifying events between 2005 and 2012.

The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 7,191 yards, course rating 74.5 and slope rating 140. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course originally opened in 2004. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Restricted Membership, Function Room.
