Gokarna Forest Golf Club is the 18-hole course at Gokarna Forest Resort, approximately 10 kilometres east of central Kathmandu. The par-72 layout measures about 6,755 yards and is an early design by Scottish golf architect David McLay Kidd. It occupies part of the historic Gokarna Forest, a former royal retreat, within a resort estate of approximately 470 acres.
The course sits at roughly 4,550 feet above sea level and was designed around the established forest environment rather than clearing the site into an open layout. Published golf records date the course to 1999. The golf operation is part of Gokarna Forest Resort, which provides accommodation and other resort amenities.
