Golf-Club Margarethenhof is an 18-hole golf course at Gut Steinberg near Waakirchen in Bavaria, high above the Tegernsee. Regional golf records date the club to 1983 and credit English golf architect Frank Pennink with the original design. The current course is listed as par 70, with the yellow men's tees measuring 5,076 metres and the red women's tees 4,333 metres.
The yellow course rating is 68.4 with slope 133, while the red tees are rated 69.0 with slope 126. The club accepts green-fee players and provides online tee-time booking. Facilities include a driving range, pro shop, golf academy, rental clubs, electric trolleys and golf carts, together with hotel and restaurant facilities.

Margarethenhof was created in the early 1980s and is generally dated to 1983. English architect Frank Pennink designed the original 18-hole course, with construction taking place in the hilly Bavarian landscape above Tegernsee.
Contemporary accounts of Pennink's work describe a course deliberately fitted into the foothill terrain rather than imposed on it. The high elevation, natural slopes and existing landscape were integral to the routing.
Between 2011 and 2014 the wider property was redeveloped for the Lanserhof Tegernsee project. Landscape-architecture documentation states that the golf course was adapted, rebuilt and optimized around the development so that a complete 18-hole facility remained after construction.
Margarethenhof continues to operate an 18-hole, par-70 course and accepts visiting green-fee golfers. It combines golf with hotel, restaurant, practice and tuition facilities.
