Golf Kings in Wall, New Jersey is an indoor golf-simulator and practice facility rather than a physical golf course. The Wall location at 1825 State Highway 35 uses TrackMan simulator technology in private bays, allowing customers to play virtual courses, use a virtual driving range and collect shot data including club speed, face angle, spin rate, ball speed and launch angle. The company states that its software provides more than 200 virtual courses.
Bays are rented by time rather than through conventional green fees, and the current non-member rate is $70 per bay per hour. Golf Kings also offers memberships, private instruction with golf professionals, club fitting and regripping, rental clubs and golf merchandise. Because the golf holes are simulated rather than a fixed physical layout, conventional course fields such as holes, par, yardage, course rating, slope and architect do not apply to this facility.
It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Golf Simulators, Virtual Driving Range, Golf Lessons, Club Fitting, Club Regripping, Rental Clubs, Pro Shop.
Golf Kings traces its beginnings to March 2019, when a group of longtime friends began experimenting with a basic golf simulator, hitting balls from a mat into a sheet in an apartment. They concluded that Monmouth and Ocean counties lacked the type of dedicated indoor simulation facility they wanted to use, leading them to develop the Golf Kings concept.
The founders researched simulator systems, prepared a business plan, raised funding and developed the Golf Kings brand. The business subsequently expanded beyond Wall to additional New Jersey locations.
The Wall facility is one location in the Golf Kings network. It uses TrackMan technology for virtual rounds, practice and instruction, with bays rented by the hour and membership options available across the company's locations.
