Golflands is a privately owned public nine-hole golf course at Mangateretere in Hawke's Bay, between Hastings and Clive. It is the home course of Karamu Golf Club, which was established in February 2011 and takes its name from the Karamu Stream running through the property. The nine-hole layout has two par 5s, four par 4s and three par 3s, giving it a par of 36 for a single circuit.
Golfers can play 18 holes by going around twice, with four holes using different tee positions on the second nine. Golflands operates on a roll-up basis and specifically states that golf bookings are not taken. Current green fees are NZ$23 for nine holes and NZ$33 for 18.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. The course originally opened in 2011. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Grass Practice Tees, Synthetic Practice Tees, Pro Shop, Club Hire, FootGolf, Mini Golf, Pickleball, and 2 more.
Karamu Golf Club was established in February 2011 on the privately owned public course at Golflands. The club took its name from the Karamu Stream, which runs around the property.
The golf operation developed into a broader recreation site with a driving range, FootGolf, mini golf and, more recently, pickleball, while No.5 Café & Larder became the principal hospitality operation on the property.
Golflands remains open to the public on a roll-up basis rather than scheduled golf tee times. Karamu Golf Club uses the course for its competitions and has periods of exclusive Saturday use during its season.
