Hillcrest Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned 18-hole club in Batesville, Indiana. Its history begins in 1914 with 30 charter members and a six-hole course. The property later developed into a nine-hole layout that Golf magazine recognised in 1984 as the 'best nine-hole in the Midwest,' according to the club's history.
Construction of an additional nine began in 1987, and golf architect Michael Hurdzan comprehensively redesigned the course. The modern layout combines rolling, tree-lined terrain with conventional and pot-style bunkering; holes 4, 5 and 6 were specifically conceived with a links-style character. Current USGA rating data published by the club includes Blue at 71.0/132, White at 69.6/128 and Gold at 67.0/122, with additional Gold and Red ratings.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. Designed by Michael Hurdzan, the course originally opened in 1914. It is open to members and their guests. On-site facilities include Function Room, Driving Range, Putting Green, Short Game Area, Pro Shop, Golf Simulator, Restaurant, Bar, and 1 more.

The course grew into a nine-hole layout and remained that way for decades. Construction of an additional nine began in 1987, accompanied by a comprehensive redesign by Michael Hurdzan of Columbus, Ohio.
The club's history states that Golf magazine called its nine-hole course the 'best nine-hole in the Midwest' in 1984. Hurdzan later received Golf World Magazine's 1997 Architect of the Year award.
