Morgans is one of three 18-hole course configurations assembled from Hunley Golf Club's 27 holes above the North Yorkshire coast near Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The club's current official information describes Morgans as a par-72 championship-length course measuring 6,794 yards from the white tees. It is named for and designed by John Morgan, a former European Seniors Tour player.
The club says Morgan based aspects of the design on favourite holes encountered during his professional career. Morgans should not be treated as synonymous with the whole Hunley facility: Imperial and Jubilee are separate 18-hole routings using different combinations of the property's 27 holes. Hunley's setting is described by the club as coastal moorland, and the course has undergone continuing changes and improvements to tees and other playing areas.
