Origins

Kenwick Park Golf Club was created within the grounds of the Kenwick Park Estate near Louth. Golf professional Patrick Tallack designed the 18-hole course in the early 1990s, and it opened in 1992, with former Ryder Cup captain Mark James associated with the opening.

Development

Gaunt Golf Design was appointed in December 2012 to prepare a long-term masterplan. The programme concentrated initially on bunker remodelling but also addressed woodland management, tee reconstruction and strategic improvements. Gaunt records work on holes 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 17 as part of the continuing programme.

Today

The course remains part of the wider Kenwick Park Estate, with the adjoining hotel providing accommodation and golf packages. Visitors can book golf directly through the club.
