King Robert the Bruce is an 18-hole, par-72 links course at Turnberry in South Ayrshire. The current layout was designed by Martin Ebert and measures 7,203 yards. It occupies coastal ground around Turnberry alongside the better-known Ailsa Course but is a separate layout with its own routing and identity.
Ebert's work created new coastal holes and opened views across the resort, including major changes around the eighth through eleventh holes. The course contains named holes throughout its 18-hole sequence, beginning with Barley Rigs and ending with Bruce's Hame. Its setting incorporates views toward Turnberry Castle, the lighthouse, Ailsa Craig and the Ayrshire coast.

Martin Ebert's redesign brought more of the coastline into the routing. The new par-5 eighth climbs toward the sea, the ninth finishes on a cliff-edge green, the tenth plays across a valley and the extended par-5 eleventh uses the Turnberry lighthouse as a visual focus.
The modern King Robert the Bruce layout emerged from a major redesign of Turnberry's second course, formerly known as the Kintyre. Tree removal and new holes substantially changed its relationship with the coastline and the rest of the resort.
