Martin Ebert read Engineering at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, before joining Donald Steel & Co, where he worked alongside Tom Mackenzie as a lead designer for around fifteen years. In 2005 the pair co-founded Mackenzie & Ebert, a firm best known for renovation work at numerous Open Championship venues.
