Ladybank Golf Club is an 18-hole heathland course at Annsmuir in Fife. The club was founded in 1879, when Old Tom Morris was commissioned to lay out the original six-hole course. A circular nine-hole layout followed in 1910, and a further nine holes were laid down in 1958 and incorporated in 1961 to create the present 18-hole course.
The championship setup now approaches 6,800 yards. Ladybank's tournament history is extensive: it has repeatedly served as Final Qualifying for The Open Championship and has hosted the 1998 Scottish Open Amateur Seniors Championship, the 1998 British Boys Championship and the 2001 Ladies British Open Amateur Championship. It also hosted Final Qualifying for The Senior Open in 2018 and 2022.
The course is an 18-hole heathland golf course. Designed by Old Tom Morris, the course originally opened in 1879. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Pro shop.
Fifteen founder members established Ladybank in 1879 and commissioned Old Tom Morris to create a six-hole course. Morris returned that autumn and won the club's medal despite playing from a handicap of plus three.
A circular nine-hole course was formed in 1910. Nine additional holes were laid down in 1958 and incorporated with the existing course in 1961, establishing the 18-hole layout. A new clubhouse opened in 1971.
Ladybank's standing as a championship test led to repeated selection for Final Qualifying for The Open. It has also hosted major amateur events and Senior Open qualifying.
The course remains a rare inland heathland layout in Fife and measures close to 6,800 yards from its championship tees.
