Ledge Point Golf Club is a volunteer-built nine-hole grass course in Ledge Point, Western Australia. PGA Life Member and former PGA of Australia president John 'Jock' Borthwick conceived and laid out the course, beginning the design process around 2000. Volunteer construction started in 2002, and the course officially opened in 2004.
The club describes the layout as fully reticulated, with Kikuyu fairways and Santa Ana Couch greens. Additional tees and some extra greens allow the nine-hole property to be played as an 18-hole round. Visitors can play without a formal tee-time system and pay green fees at the clubhouse or honour box.
The course is a 9-hole parkland golf course. Designed by John "Jock" Borthwick, the course originally opened in 2004. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Honour Box, Full Membership, Junior Membership.
Local resident and PGA Life Member John 'Jock' Borthwick began developing the idea for a golf course at Ledge Point around 2000. In 2002 a volunteer group known locally as 'Dad's Army' began construction based on Borthwick's layout.
The course officially opened in 2004 and has continued to be maintained and operated by volunteers. Additional teeing areas and extra greens allow the nine-hole property to provide an 18-hole playing sequence.
Ledge Point remains a public-access community golf club where casual players can pay at the clubhouse or honour box without a conventional online tee-time system.
