Madinat Makadi Golf Resort on Egypt's Red Sea coast contains two distinct golf layouts: an 18-hole, par-72 Championship Course designed by John Sanford Jr. and a separate nine-hole par-3 Executive Course. The resort provides a driving range, equipment rental, pull trolleys and golf carts.

Sanford's team addressed water scarcity, saline conditions and strong winds by using salt-tolerant paspalum turf and shaping the course specifically for the desert environment. The landscape includes approximately 1,200 date palms and 200 Washingtonias.
The golf resort developed an 18-hole Championship Course alongside a separate nine-hole par-3 Executive Course and practice facilities.
