Mar Hall's golf course is an 18-hole, par-70 resort layout at Bishopton, west of Glasgow. The resort's official site gives a maximum length of 6,507 yards and a slope rating of 119, and credits the design to Dave Thomas. The course occupies part of the Mar Hall estate and moves through woodland and riverside ground near the River Clyde.
Its scorecard comprises four par 3s, twelve par 4s and two par 5s, producing par 35 on each nine. Published tee options include a 6,507-yard White course, a 6,259-yard Yellow course and a 5,516-yard Red course. The longest holes are the par-5 first and 15th, while the back nine begins with a short par 3.

Thomas routed the course through the estate's rolling, wooded and riverside ground. The par-70 card uses only two par 5s, placing much of the scoring emphasis on a substantial collection of par 4s of varied lengths.
Golf became one component of the broader Mar Hall resort alongside the hotel, dining and spa operations. The property has subsequently adopted JA Mar Hall branding while retaining the established Mar Hall identity.
