The Faldo Course at Mission Hills Shenzhen is an 18-hole, par-72 stadium-style layout currently published by the resort at 6,892 yards. Nick Faldo is the named signature designer, and Faldo Design records the course as opening in 1999. The layout was conceived with spectator golf in mind: mounding and earthen amphitheatres create viewing areas around holes, while the closing stretch contains two of its most recognisable features.
The 15th is a short, potentially drivable par four and the 16th is a par three played to an island-style green. Mission Hills describes the Faldo as China's first stadium course and lists 71 bunkers and an average fairway width of about 43 yards. The course has also been closely associated with the Faldo Series Asia, serving as the venue for its Grand Final.
