Las Colinas is the newer of the two 18-hole courses at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Former PGA Tour player and broadcaster Gary Koch designed the course, which opened in 1992. The resort currently lists Las Colinas at par 72, 7,230 yards and slope 135.
Its character contrasts with the older El Campeón: Las Colinas uses broader fairways, gentler terrain and large undulating greens. An official 2023 scorecard provides detailed ratings for several tee sets, including Black at 7,139 yards (75.4/132), Blue at 6,753 (73.7/130) and Historic at 6,276 (70.9/126). The course is part of a public golf resort with practice, pro-shop, accommodation and food-and-beverage facilities.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,611m (7,230 yards), slope rating 135. Designed by Gary Koch, the course originally opened in 1992. It is open to the public. Demand at the resort eventually led to the creation of a second course alongside historic El Campeón. Gary Koch designed Las Colinas, which was built in 1992.
Koch deliberately produced a different golf course from El Campeón. Las Colinas has more open fairways, gentler rolling terrain and large undulating greens rather than relying on the older course's unusually dramatic Florida elevation.
Golf architect Ron Garl carried out later renovation work, reported in 2007, while the course retained Koch's identity as the resort's second layout.
Las Colinas remains one of Mission Resort + Club's two public 18-hole courses and is marketed alongside El Campeón for resort and daily-fee golf.
