The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. The course was designed by Peter Matkovich. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Golf academy, Driving range, Practice areas, Pro shop, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar.
The golf course was developed on the historic Mont Choisy estate, using land that had previously formed part of a sugar-cane plantation in northern Mauritius. Rather than removing all traces of the agricultural and geological landscape, the project retained mature vegetation and prominent volcanic rock formations as elements of the new golf environment.
Peter Matkovich's design draws directly on the former plantation landscape. The routing works through volcanic rock, water features and established vegetation, with the site's previous agricultural character informing the landscape treatment.
The course has gained international tournament exposure as a venue for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
Mont Choisy Le Golf operates as the championship golf component of Mont Choisy Golf & Beach Estate, supported by a golf academy, practice areas, pro shop and clubhouse.
