Mount Wolseley Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship parkland course at the Mount Wolseley Hotel near Tullow, County Carlow. The course was designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr and dates to 1996. Its official scorecard measures 7,134 yards from the Blue tees, where the men's course plays to par 72 with an SSS of 75.
White and Yellow men's tees measure 6,669 and 6,341 yards respectively. The official Red card uses a separate women's par allocation of 74 over 5,597 yards. Mount Wolseley is integrated with the hotel and resort but accepts visitor golf and operates online visitor booking.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,523m (7,134 yards). Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr, the course originally opened in 1996. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro shop, Driving range, Putting green, Chipping green, Golf simulator, Locker rooms, Golf instruction, Club hire, and 1 more.
Mount Wolseley's golf course was developed as part of the County Carlow hotel and country-club property and was founded in 1996. Christy O'Connor Jnr was commissioned to design the championship layout on rolling ground close to the River Slaney.
O'Connor's routing uses the property's natural roll, established trees and lakes. The architect was quoted by the resort as being particularly impressed by the natural shape of the site and surrounding countryside on his first inspection.
The course has hosted three Challenge Tour events and was named Leinster's Golf Resort of the Year by the Golfer's Guide of Ireland in 2018.
Mount Wolseley remains a resort-based but visitor-accessible golf course, with a full membership programme, visitor booking, pro shop, practice facilities and golf instruction.
