Ballesteros divided the course into three nine-hole sections named Highland, Creek and Valley according to their differing natural environments. Strategic hazards, forest and strongly contoured greens were used to demand both accuracy and distance. The three-loop arrangement also allows the resort to create several different 18-hole combinations.
The official resort history says construction of the golf course and associated facilities was completed in approximately 18 months. Specialist golf sources date the opening to 2011. The development formed part of a project also containing a hotel, residential estate, spa, leisure facilities and other amenities.
