The Point is Nefyn Golf Club's famous nine-hole loop on the narrow headland above Porthdinllaen on the Llŷn Peninsula. It is one component of a larger multi-loop golf property rather than a conventional standalone 18-hole course. Nefyn currently describes the site as three loops: Front, New and Old, with the Old loop corresponding to the Point.
The Point measures 2,508 yards on the club's current course information. It runs along the narrow peninsula toward the lifeboat station, with public footpaths and heavy pedestrian activity influencing when the holes can be used. The club therefore restricts Point play to allocated times and ordinarily offers it as an additional nine holes paired with the 18-hole Championship Course.
The course is a 9-hole links golf course. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Pro shop, Practice facilities.
The Point represents the old headland section of Nefyn's historic course. Golf at Nefyn dates to the early twentieth century, with the original nine later expanded and repeatedly altered as the club developed additional holes.
The wider Nefyn property evolved into multiple loops, and the Point became the Old nine. Public footpaths and increasing pedestrian traffic have affected how and when the headland holes can be played.
The Point is offered as an additional nine alongside a Championship Course booking and is subject to allocated tee times and availability.
