The Ocean Course at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature design in Palm Coast, Florida. Six holes play directly alongside the Atlantic Ocean and eight have ocean views. The closing four holes are collectively known as the Bear Claw, a documented nickname used by the resort.
The course combines coastal holes with wetlands and lakes inland. Hammock Beach operates a dedicated Ocean Course pro shop and the Hammock House restaurant beside the ninth green, while resort golf facilities also include practice areas. The Ocean Course is one of two principal courses at Hammock Beach, the other being Tom Watson's Conservatory Course, and the two should be maintained as separate layouts in directory data.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus. It is open to resort guests. On-site facilities include Driving range, Putting greens, Short-game area, Pro shop, Restaurant, Clubhouse, Locker rooms, Room, and 3 more.
Nicklaus combined the site's direct Atlantic frontage with inland wetlands and lakes. Six holes reach the ocean itself, with the final four forming the concentrated coastal sequence known as the Bear Claw.
The Ocean Course has appeared in Golfweek resort and public-access course rankings and has hosted PGA Tour Champions competition.
The course operates as one of the two principal golf layouts at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa.
