Ormonde Fields Golf Club at Codnor on the Derbyshire-Nottinghamshire border is an 18-hole parkland course occupying about 140 acres. The club's official history says the first nine-hole course was established in 1926 and designed by Frederick George Hawtree. More than 40 years later owner Bernard Swain commissioned a full 18-hole course, and the layout was remodelled again in the mid-1990s.
The current white course measures 6,544 yards at par 72, with a 71.9 course rating and 123 slope. Other rated sets include yellow at 6,153 yards, blue at 5,628 and red at 5,591. The official course description emphasizes doglegs, elevated greens and a wide variation in hole lengths.
