Phoenix Golf Resort is a 54-hole golf complex at Luong Son, historically in Hoa Binh Province west of Hanoi. The facility contains three distinct 18-hole courses rather than a single 54-hole routing: Phoenix, Dragon and Champion. Golfplan, represented by Ronald Fream, designed the Phoenix Course; the current resort credits Korean firm Songho Golf Design Group with the Champion Course; and Japanese design input led by Sato Kentaro, together with later planning by Chamvit chairman Lee Dae-bong, is documented for the Dragon Course.
Construction of the overall project began in March 2005 and golf operations commenced in 2006. The site covers approximately 315 hectares and uses prominent limestone formations as the setting for the three layouts. The resort hosted the inaugural Vietnam Masters in November 2007.
The course is a 54-hole resort golf course. Designed by Lee Dae-bong and Ronald Fream and Songho Golf Design Group and Sato Kentaro, the course originally opened in 2006. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Practice facilities, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Pro shop, Locker rooms, Resort accommodation, Golf carts, and 1 more.
Chamvit Group began construction of the resort in March 2005 on approximately 315 hectares at Luong Son. The development was planned as a 54-hole golf resort with three separate courses and a substantial accommodation component.
The three layouts were deliberately given different design teams. Golfplan's Phoenix Course, the Japanese-influenced Dragon Course and Songho Golf Design Group's Champion Course use the limestone landscape in different ways rather than functioning as three interchangeable nine-hole loops.
Golf operations began in 2006. The resort quickly gained tournament exposure when the Vietnam Masters was staged there in November 2007. All three 18-hole courses now operate under the Phoenix Golf Resort identity.
The property has attracted attention for its scale and limestone landscape, sometimes described in Vietnamese golf material as a terrestrial counterpart to Ha Long Bay.
Phoenix Golf Resort continues to operate 54 holes under the Phoenix, Dragon and Champion course names. Current official material presents the three courses separately.
