Pollok Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland club on the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. The club's history extends to the late 19th century, while the course is particularly significant for its association with architect Alister MacKenzie, who was engaged to remodel the layout during the 1920s. The present course plays to a par of 71 and occupies mature parkland at Pollok, with established trees forming an important part of its setting and routing.
Pollok is a members' club but welcomes visitors through published visitor tee times, making SEMI_PRIVATE the closest directory classification. The club provides online visitor booking and maintains clubhouse and golf facilities at its Barrhead Road property. Its architectural interest comes from MacKenzie's involvement before his later international work at courses including Cypress Point and Augusta National.

Pollok belongs to Glasgow's long-established golf tradition and developed as a members' club well before the modern expansion of golf facilities around the city. Its course occupied parkland south of central Glasgow and evolved over time rather than emerging as a single modern construction project.
The most important architectural chapter came when Alister MacKenzie was brought in to remodel the course during the 1920s. MacKenzie was already developing the strategic principles that would define his later work: providing alternative routes, using hazards to influence decision-making rather than merely punish poor shots, and shaping holes around the natural characteristics of the property. Pollok is consequently better described as a MacKenzie remodel than as a course originally founded by him.
The club continued to develop around the MacKenzie-influenced layout while the surrounding south side of Glasgow became increasingly urbanised. Mature vegetation and long-established parkland now give the property a character quite different from newly constructed courses.
Pollok remains a members' golf club but provides visitor access and online visitor booking. The course continues as an 18-hole, par-71 parkland layout and its MacKenzie association remains the principal point of architectural interest.
