About Raleigh Golf Association

Raleigh Golf Association is a 27-hole golf facility on Tryon Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, established in 1929 and regarded by the club as one of the state's oldest public golf courses. Eighteen holes are available to the public, while a separate nine-hole Stockholders' Course is primarily reserved for stockholders, members and organized events. McConnell Golf assumed operational management in 2016.

A long-term agreement announced in 2025 brought a $3.5 million redevelopment led by architect Kris Spence, including a full course redesign, new greens and irrigation and a planned 60-bay lighted driving range and teaching center. The club stated that on-course renovation was scheduled for completion on August 29, 2026, with the driving range targeted for October. Historical secondary sources credit George Cobb and David Postlethwait with earlier design work; Postlethwait is specifically associated with a 1998 redesign.

The course is a 27-hole parkland golf course. Designed by George Cobb, the course originally opened in 1929. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Golf Lessons, Teaching Center, Golf Cart Rental, Club Hire.
