Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club is an 18-hole parkland course in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire, set among some of the oldest trees in the county. The par-70 layout measures 5,751 yards and combines several long par threes with blind shots and tree-lined fairways, while the greens are noted locally for their quality and undulation. The club also operates a full-size six-rink bowling green alongside the golf course, and its clubhouse includes a bar, dining room, and two snooker rooms.
Facilities for golfers include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a golf simulator used for lessons and club fittings. Visitors, societies, and corporate groups are welcome by green fee, alongside a full golf and bowls membership program.

It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club traces its roots to 1922, when it began as a purely social club built around a bar, a billiard table, and a card room -- golf came later. A change of premises in 1950 added a bowling green, and by 1965 a nine-hole golf course had been laid out. Its opening was marked with an exhibition match pairing two professionals against two amateurs, a lineup that included Ryder Cup players Dai Rees and Peter Allis.
The course was extended to a full 18 holes in 1968, and the club again marked the occasion with an exhibition match, this time featuring Gary Player, who carded a course-record 65. The layout was routed through some of the oldest trees in the area, a constraint that still shapes the course today -- several holes play around mature trees rather than through open parkland, producing blind shots and tight lines despite the course's modest length.
Ramsey continues to run golf and bowls side by side, a combination that has become less common at clubs of its size. The clubhouse, a former vicarage in Ramsey town centre, has been renovated in recent years, and the six-rink bowling green, open from April to September, is free to join for golf members. The club is marketed to visitors, societies, and corporate groups alongside its golf and bowls membership base.
