Sandy Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course at the gateway to South Australia's Barossa Valley. The club traces its history to the establishment of Gawler Golf Club in 1904, but its present Sandy Creek property was purchased in 1960 and officially opened on 30 April 1961. Club member Nolan Kokegei designed the original nine-hole scrape course at the current site.
The course was later extended to 18 holes, with conversion from scrapes to grass greens beginning in 1972 and all 18 greens in play by the end of 1974. The Blue course now measures 6,030 metres and has a slope rating of 128; the official site lists the Red course at 5,333 metres. Facilities include a 320-metre practice range, putting greens, practice bunker, licensed clubhouse, carts and hire equipment.

On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Practice Bunker, Golf Carts, Club Hire, Clubhouse, Bar, Changing Rooms.
Gawler Golf Club was established in 1904 and became a founding member of the South Australian Golf Association that August. Its first courses occupied other properties around Gawler before later relocations.
The first course on the present property was a nine-hole scrape layout designed by club member Nolan Kokegei. Its modern form is the product of decades of extension and redevelopment rather than a single later architect's masterplan.
The club purchased its current Sandy Creek land in 1960 and officially opened there on 30 April 1961. The nine-hole course expanded first to 13 and then 18 holes. Conversion from scrapes to grass greens began in 1972 and was complete by the end of 1974.
Additional land purchases in the 1980s supported two new holes, and a major 1995 redevelopment removed the former 'Cardiac Hill' hole. In September 2015 the trading name changed from Gawler Golf Club to Sandy Creek Golf Club - Barossa Valley.
The club currently cites inclusion in Golf Australia Magazine's '100 Fun Aussie Courses to Play for $50 or less' and a ranking among South Australia's leading public-access courses.
Sandy Creek welcomes visitors and groups, operates an online booking system and maintains a full practice range, carts and clubhouse facilities.
