Sene Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 course at Blackhouse Hill near Folkestone in Kent. The White course measures approximately 6,450 yards. The present layout is associated with three-time Open champion Sir Henry Cotton, who was engaged during redevelopment of the property in the mid-1960s.
Historical material records that the Radnor Estate acquired the former Hythe Golf Club property in 1965 and commissioned Cotton to create a revised course using portions of the older golf ground while adding and reversing holes as the surrounding land changed. Sene Valley accepts visitor play and currently publishes weekday, weekend, twilight, junior, member-guest and Kent County Card rates. The club occupies elevated ground near the English Channel and operates a professional shop and clubhouse alongside its membership operation.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 71, 6,450 yards. The course was designed by Sir Henry Cotton. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar, Full Membership, Social Membership, Senior Membership.
Golf on the site predates the current course. In 1965 the Radnor Estate acquired the former Hythe Golf Club property and embarked on redevelopment that required substantial changes to the routing.
Henry Cotton was engaged to design the revised course. Historical material records that some former holes were retained, some reversed and new holes added as residential development changed the land available for golf.
Sene Valley operates as a visitor-accessible members' club with an 18-hole course, professional shop, clubhouse facilities and online tee-time booking.
