Sheerness Golf Club is an 18-hole links-style members' club at Minster-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. The club was formed from a 1908 initiative promoted by First Sea Lord Admiral Sir John Fisher to provide sport and recreation for Royal Navy officers. , Open Champion in 1887 and 1889, advised on the original nine-hole course at Ripney Hill Farm, with club professional Alec Bishop also involved in mapping and overseeing construction.
The nine opened in May 1909. Additional land allowed the course to expand to 18 holes, with the new layout entering play on July 31, 1977. The official 2026 Black tees measure 6,667 yards at par 72 with a rating of 73.2 and slope of 127.

A group of naval, military, dockyard and local figures formed a company in 1908 specifically to establish a golf club. Ripney Hill Farm was selected as the site and Willie Park Jr. was brought in for professional design advice, working alongside future club professional Alec Bishop.
The nine-hole links opened in May 1909.
The original nine served the club for decades. Additional land was acquired in 1976, and financial assistance from a government grant and club members enabled construction of a full 18-hole course. The expanded layout came into use on July 31, 1977.
Sheerness remains the only 18-hole golf course on the Isle of Sheppey and combines a private membership structure with visitor play.
