Shipyard Golf Club on Hilton Head Island is a 27-hole facility made up of three nine-hole courses: Clipper, Galleon and Brigantine. George Cobb designed the original Clipper and Galleon nines, which opened in 1970. Willard Byrd designed Brigantine, added in 1982.
Golfers therefore play rotating 18-hole combinations rather than one permanent 18-hole course, an important distinction when recording scorecards or aggregate yardages. The property sits within Shipyard on Hilton Head and is operated as part of the Hilton Head Golf Collection. Public tee times are available.
