Oak Glen is an 18-hole, par-72 course at Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan in El Cajon, California. It was the property's original course, opening on 26 January 1956 as the East Course after founder Cecil Hollingsworth and his partners developed the Dehesa Valley site. Oak Glen now measures 6,594 yards from the Blue tees on the published scorecard, with White and Red alternatives.
Severe flooding later damaged the golf property, and architect Ted Robinson Sr. redesigned the courses, adding elevation changes around tees and greens, lakes and revised bunker complexes. Oak Glen remains distinct from the resort's other layouts, Willow Glen and the nine-hole par-3 Pine Glen.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,030m (6,594 yards). Designed by Cecil Hollingsworth, the course originally opened in 1956. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Golf shop, Golf academy, Golf instruction, Restaurant, Snack bar, Golf cart rental, Junior Membership, and 2 more.
Cecil Hollingsworth first saw the Dehesa Valley property in 1955 and recognized its potential for a golf resort. He partnered with Gomer Sims, Babe Horrell and Robert Price, and their first course, initially called the East Course and now Oak Glen, opened on 26 January 1956.
Hollingsworth's original course spread across the valley floor among established trees and surrounding rocky hills. After major flood damage, Ted Robinson Sr. redesigned the golf property.
The club credits Robinson with introducing more elevation around tees and approaches, tiers in green complexes, additional lakes and redesigned bunkers.
The property expanded after Oak Glen, adding the West Course, now Pine Glen, and accommodation in 1961, followed later by Willow Glen. Severe flooding in 1979 caused extensive damage and led to Robinson's redesign work. The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation purchased the property in 2001.
Singing Hills has a long competitive history and has hosted junior championships, regional and national qualifiers and other significant golf events. Oak Glen's longevity makes it the original course in a golf operation that celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2026.
Oak Glen remains one of two full-length 18-hole courses at Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan, alongside Willow Glen, with Pine Glen operating as the property's nine-hole par-3 course. Public tee times are offered.
