South Winchester Golf Club is an 18-hole course at Pitt, outside Winchester in Hampshire. The layout was designed by former Ryder Cup captain and golf-course architect Dave Thomas and extends to 7,086 yards from its longest teeing option. Five teeing options are available, with the shortest published overall length at 4,515 yards.
The course occupies more than 200 acres and is constructed on free-draining chalk with sand-based greens and tees. Its routing is arranged as two loops of nine returning to the clubhouse and incorporates seven lakes. Practice facilities include a seven-bay covered driving range that is open to members and visitors.

Dave Thomas laid out the course across more than 200 acres, using two returning loops of nine. Seven lakes and strategically placed hazards are incorporated into the routing, while the chalk subsoil and sand-based greens and tees support drainage.
