Southerness Golf Club is an 18-hole links course on the Solway coast in Dumfries and Galloway. The club's official history states that MacKenzie Ross designed the course and that it was built in 1947. The routing occupies level coastal ground, making it unusually flat and straightforward to walk for a championship links.
Its golfing character comes from exposed coastal conditions, firm links terrain and the influence of wind rather than major elevation change. Southerness is a members' club but welcomes visitors who are members of recognised golf clubs, with visitor tee times available through BRS. The clubhouse, golf shop and catering facilities support both member and visitor play.
