SouthLinks Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course at Sei Ladi on Batam Island. The course officially opened on 18 April 1996 and was designed by Japanese architect Hisamitsu Ohnishi. SouthLinks describes the design as an attempt to apply characteristics associated with traditional links golf to its tropical coastal site.
The official course information lists four principal tee lengths: 6,308 metres from the black tees, 5,853 metres from blue, 5,417 metres from white and 4,832 metres from red. The layout uses undulating ground and existing woodland, and later changes added optional greens and tee boxes. SouthLinks also lights the final four holes, extending potential playing hours into the evening.
