Te Awamutu Golf Club sits on Kihikihi Road (State Highway 3), a few minutes from the centre of Te Awamutu in New Zealand's Waikato region. The 18-hole parkland course operates as an incorporated society, hosting members, affiliated club players from around the district and visiting green-fee golfers.
From the Black markers the course plays to a par of 70 over 5,749 metres (NZ Course Rating 70.3, slope 113); the Blue tees extend the layout to a par-72 test over 5,522 metres (NZCR 69.1, slope 111). Mature trees line many of the fairways, and the course is generally regarded locally as an easy walk.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 70, 5,749m, course rating 70.3 and slope rating 113. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Club Hire, Full Membership, Junior Membership, Pro Shop, Driving Range, Function Room.
Te Awamutu Golf Club has operated as a registered incorporated society since 31 March 1933, according to New Zealand Companies Office records. The club is based on Kihikihi Road (State Highway 3), a few minutes from the Te Awamutu town centre, where its 18-hole parkland course now serves members, affiliated club players from around the Waikato and visiting golfers.
Te Awamutu is closely networked with its neighbouring Waikato clubs. It holds reciprocal green-fee arrangements with Hukanui, Horsham Downs, Ngaruawahia, Waihi, Kaitake, Cambridge and St Andrews Hamilton golf clubs, and its own members can play at Stewart Alexander Golf Club on days when the Te Awamutu course is closed. The club also runs the Te Awamutu Juniors programme, introducing children from age five to golf on the course's own rated junior tees.
