Te Puke Golf Club's present course is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland layout at Paengaroa in the Bay of Plenty. Golf has been organised in Te Puke since 1921, but the club purchased its current former dairy-farm property in 1978 and first played golf there in 1979. New Zealand course architect Harry Dale designed the layout, and the club states that his original design has largely been maintained.
The blue championship tees measure 6,130 metres, with a men's course rating of 72.4 and slope of 124. White, yellow and forward orange tees provide shorter alternatives. The course now has mature trees planted largely at the time the club moved to the property.

Te Puke has had an organised golf club since 1921 and used several different sites during its early decades. Because its previous site was leased Māori land, the club decided that ownership of its own property would provide greater long-term security. It purchased the former Steel farm in 1978 and golf was first played on the present course in 1979.
Harry Dale prepared the original course design, and the club says his concept has remained substantially intact. The former dairy-farm site was planted extensively with trees when the course was developed.
More recent course changes have been undertaken with input from Denis Clark, who prepared a 20-year development plan for the property.
The current course is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland layout with four principal tee options and visitor play available.
