Origins

Osprey Cove's golf course was created as the golf component of a coastal Georgia residential and club community and is generally recorded as opening in 1990. Mark McCumber was selected to design the course.

Design Philosophy

The club says McCumber allowed the natural characteristics of the land and river to define the routing. Marshes, tidal inlets and conservation areas form part of the setting, while traditional concepts of strategy, variety, balance and surprise informed the individual golf holes.

Recognition

The course has been listed among Golfweek's Top 5 in Georgia and Golf and Travel's Top 100 Modern Courses, while Golf Digest awarded it five-star recognition.

Today

Osprey Cove remains a membership-based golf and social club but allows limited non-member play after noon. Golf is complemented by tennis, swimming, fitness, dining and social facilities.
