The Valley Course at The Els Club Desaru Coast is a separate 18-hole course in Johor, not one of the three nines that make up the neighbouring Ocean Course. Vijay Singh designed the Valley layout in collaboration with Ernie Els Design. It opened after the Ocean Course and uses the property's valleys, streams and substantial elevation changes as the basis of its routing.
Published course information gives a par of 72 and a back-tee length of approximately 7,200 yards. The design is particularly associated with relatively small greens and extensive bunkering, placing greater emphasis on approach accuracy than the broader Ocean Course. The course is integrated into the Desaru Coast resort development and has its own clubhouse and tee-time operation.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,584m (7,200 yards). Designed by Vijay Singh and Ernie Els Design, the course originally opened in 2017. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Pro Shop, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Golf Lessons, Restaurant, Caddies.
The Valley Course was developed as the second major golf layout at The Els Club Desaru Coast. Vijay Singh worked with Ernie Els Design to create an 18-hole course deliberately different from the neighbouring Ocean Course.
Singh used the site's slopes, valleys and streams as major routing elements. Smaller greens, pronounced undulations and extensive bunkering make accurate approach play a central part of the design.
The Valley operates as a distinct 18-hole par-72 resort course with its own bookable tee times and supporting practice facilities.
