The Els Club Teluk Datai is an 18-hole, par-72 resort course at Teluk Datai on Langkawi, Kedah. Ernie Els is credited with the present course design. The back black tees measure 6,760 yards, with additional published sets at 6,449 yards, 6,209 yards and 5,311 yards.
The course occupies a very different location from The Els Club Desaru Coast in Johor, and the two facilities should not be conflated. Teluk Datai's golf history predates the current Els layout: a course was operating at the site from 1992 before the later redesign associated with Els. The modern course is integrated with the Teluk Datai resort area and uses the site's established natural landscape.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,181m (6,760 yards). The course was designed by Ernie Els. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Practice Facilities, Restaurant, Dining, Golf Lessons.
Golf at the Teluk Datai property predates the present Ernie Els course, with the earlier course dating to 1992.
The property was subsequently redesigned under the Ernie Els name, producing the present Els Club Teluk Datai layout.
Teluk Datai operates as an 18-hole resort course on Langkawi and is distinct from The Els Club's Desaru Coast courses in Johor.
