The Heritage Golf Resort at Killenard in County Laois is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course co-designed by Seve Ballesteros and golf architect Jeff Howes. The course opened in 2004 and measures 7,319 yards from its championship tees, with shorter tee options extending down to approximately 5,747 yards. The Heritage identifies it as Ireland's only Seve Ballesteros-designed championship course.
Its design includes five lakes and a stream, with water affecting ten holes, together with extensive bunkering and thousands of planted trees. The course became a professional tournament venue soon after opening and hosted the 2007 Seve Trophy, the team match-play competition between Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe. The property operates as a golf resort with visitor bookings, a golf shop, clubhouse food and beverage facilities and accommodation available at the adjacent Heritage hotel.

The Heritage's golf project was created around a championship design by Seve Ballesteros working with Jeff Howes. The course opened in 2004 at Killenard, adding a purpose-built modern parkland venue to County Laois.
Ballesteros and Howes produced a long championship layout with numerous strategic hazards. Five lakes and a stream bring water into play on ten holes, while extensive bunkering defines much of the course. Multiple tee positions allow the same routing to range from approximately 5,747 yards to 7,319 yards.
Only three years after opening, The Heritage staged the 2007 Seve Trophy. The event linked the course directly with its designer: the competition, named for Ballesteros, matched teams from Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe.
The course is now commonly branded the Ballesteros Course and remains part of The Heritage resort at Killenard. Visitor tee times, golf breaks and group golf are offered alongside the resort's accommodation and hospitality facilities.
