The Links at Union Vale is an 18-hole, par-72 public-access golf course in LaGrangeville, New York, created by a group of New York-area Irish golfers. The course opened in 2000 on roughly 200 acres of former cattle and farmland. Architect Stephen Kay and design partner Doug Smith routed the course across an open, rolling property intended to evoke aspects of Irish links golf despite its inland Hudson Valley location.
The championship tees measure 6,954 yards with a course rating of 73.3 and slope of 137; the Blue tees measure 6,646 yards at 72.1/132. Five physical tee distances extend down to 5,257 yards, with separate women's ratings published for White, Gold and Red. The club operates on a semi-private model: equity membership exists, but public golfers can reserve tee times.

The project grew out of New York's Irish golf community in the late 1990s. Golfers associated with multiple Irish clubs in the metropolitan area wanted a course of their own within weekend travelling distance of the city. Investors pooled funds, located roughly 200 acres of former cattle and farmland in Dutchess County and established the Irish Golf Association membership corporation.
Stephen Kay and Doug Smith were commissioned to create an Irish-influenced links-style course. Contemporary reporting says the architects allowed the site's natural swells and troughs to shape the routing. Because wind was expected to be a significant factor, fairways were deliberately generous, while fescue, bunkering and open ground supplied much of the strategic character.
Construction began in the late 1990s. The first nine opened in May 2000 and the full 18 was scheduled into play by June that year. A clubhouse followed.
The ownership structure retained an equity-membership element while the golf course also remained available to public players.
The Links has hosted U.S. Open regional qualifying, the New York Amateur Open and the Intercounty Tournament. Golf Digest continues to list it among notable public courses in New York and credits Stephen Kay with the principal architecture.
The club remains semi-private: equity members receive privileges, while public golfers can reserve tee times. The current course is par 72 and reaches 6,954 yards from the Championship markers, supported by full practice and clubhouse facilities.
