The Shire London is an 18-hole, par-72 course at Barnet in north London and is the only golf course in the United Kingdom designed by Severiano 'Seve' Ballesteros. Ballesteros created a deliberately varied routing in which no two consecutive holes have the same par. The property combines parkland, woodland and links-influenced visual elements, with substantial water features and extensive tree planting forming part of the design.
The club provides public visitor golf as well as membership. Practice facilities include a driving range and dedicated practice areas, while the clubhouse provides bar and restaurant facilities. The course opened in 2007 and is one of the relatively small number of complete golf-course designs credited to Ballesteros in Britain.
