Wailea Blue is the original golf course of the Wailea resort on Maui. Arthur Jack Snyder designed the course during the initial development of Wailea, with design records dating the project to 1971 and contemporary development material recording completion in 1972. The 18-hole course was built as an early anchor amenity for the wider Wailea community.
Its routing passes through the established resort rather than occupying a separate golf-only precinct, and incorporates broad fairways, coral-sand bunkering, lakes and tropical vegetation. The Blue is now one of Wailea Golf's three courses, alongside the later Gold and Emerald layouts, and remains available for public tee-time booking.

Wailea Blue was developed as one of the original recreational anchors of the planned Wailea resort community. Arthur Jack Snyder prepared the design, with architectural records dating it to 1971 and the completed course opening in 1972.
Snyder routed the course through the broader resort landscape, using broad fairways, bunkers, lakes, vegetation and the naturally sloping Maui terrain rather than isolating golf from the surrounding development.
Wailea later added another Snyder course and subsequently the Gold and Emerald courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The Blue survived as the original layout while the later Orange Course was replaced.
The Blue has historical significance within the resort as the course that established golf at Wailea before the development of the Gold and Emerald courses.
Wailea Blue remains an 18-hole public-access resort course operated by Wailea Golf.
