Origins

WestRidge opened in 2001 as a public course in McKinney, with Jeff Brauer responsible for the design.

Did You Know?
WestRidge says it is the only golf course in Texas built around a 6-6-6 par configuration.

Design Philosophy

Rather than the conventional distribution of par values, Brauer constructed a balanced routing containing exactly six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s. The course uses rolling ground, natural areas, lakes and substantial bunkering around large greens.

Recognition

Published local golf coverage records WestRidge as having been named Best Mid Priced Golf Club and No. 5 Golf Club Overall by Avid Golfer Magazine, and best public course in 2006 by Dallas Golf Monthly.

Today

WestRidge remains a public daily-fee operation with online tee times, memberships, the lighted Top Range practice operation and Boom Restaurant and Bar.
