Golf Course Architect
Dana Fry is an American golf course architect who began his career in the early 1980s working under Tom Fazio as a shaper, before joining Dr. Michael Hurdzan in 1988 and becoming a partner in Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Design.
In 2012, he co-founded Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design with Jason Straka. S.
Open), Shelter Harbor, Devil’s Paintbrush, among many others. His early experience includes transplanting cacti at Ventana Canyon, and his career is marked by recognition in Golfweek’s “40 under 40” and leadership in the ASGCA.
