Golf Course Architect
Denis Griffiths is an American golf course architect based in Braselton, Georgia, with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University. He began his career at Davis, Kirby & Player, later partnering with Ron Kirby, before purchasing the firm in 1987 and founding Denis Griffiths & Associates.
He served as president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Known for design‑build delivery, his firm emphasizes routing that follows natural terrain and meticulous project control.
Griffiths has designed or renovated approximately two dozen courses in Georgia and completed projects worldwide in locations including St Andrews, Scotland; Asia; and Europe. Notable design‑build projects include Chateau Elan, Georgia National, Crystal Falls, and St.
Marlo Country Club (1995).
