Aberdare Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course at Abernant near Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Founded in 1921, the course has long been associated with mature oak trees and hillside terrain above the town and valley. Historical course information lists a summer par of 69 and a white-tee length of 5,875 yards, with yellow and red courses also published at shorter distances.
The club accommodates both members and visitors and has practice putting and net facilities in addition to its clubhouse. Aberdare also has a notable connection with Welsh professional golf through Dai Rees, the Ryder Cup player and captain who began his professional career at the club as a teenage assistant professional. The clubhouse occupies an elevated position overlooking Aberdare and the surrounding valley.
