Bear's Best Las Vegas is an 18-hole, par-72 daily-fee course designed by Jack Nicklaus and his design team. Rather than creating eighteen entirely new hole concepts, Nicklaus Design selected and adapted eighteen holes from earlier Nicklaus projects around the world. The course opened in 2001 and measures 7,194 yards from the longest tees, with published figures of 74.0 for course rating and 147 for slope.
Source courses represented in the concept include Nicklaus projects such as PGA West, Cabo del Sol, Desert Highlands, La Paloma and Las Campanas. The property is on West Flamingo Road in Las Vegas and includes a golf shop and a substantial practice facility with driving range, practice greens and short-game area. It operates as a daily-fee/public-access facility despite some directories classifying it as private.
